"The Land Where the Good Songs Go"
Monday May 5th @ 10:00p
Maestro Steven Blier returns with "The Land Where the Good Songs Go" --- a tribute to one of the great collaborations in American musical theater between lyricist P.G. Wodehouse and composer Jerome Kern --- a perfect program to enjoy on a beautiful spring night over dinner and drinks at HENRY's.
Steven shares his delicious musical inspirations with a cast of young singers from the Juilliard's Vocal Arts program, most of whom are new to SFYS. Steven wrote to me recently that "I thought the students would enjoy the music-hall feel of the songs, the flavor or vaudeville, the open invitation to comic invention."
Please join Steven, his delightful cast and me for an exciting night of supper and song as we revel in the treasures of Wodehouse and Kern --- vaudeville returns to Broadway!
